This year we started very early Got up a little after five Started down the road from Gravois Wondering when we would arrive? We stopped for lunch in Indiana Took an hour or so to eat Janene gave Sam an ice cream And some dripped on his feet. We arrived at the Ramada in Lexington Took a short time to settle in Went to the Coach House Restaurant And ate the best prime rib. We boarded the bus for Harrodsburg The oldest town in Kentucky Most thought the route was scenic Others say we were pretty lucky! |
Breakfast was great the next morning And later the Kentucky Horse Park Gave us a chance to learn more about equines Even though the sky turned dark. Dinner was pork and gravy We were very casually dressed We arrived at the outside pavilion And proceeded to dance at our best. Another fun afterparty And some very creative skits Finished off our day And was another super hit! |
